The old kitchen was not very attractive and fairly unworkable it also contained a lot of the original asbestos wall cladding and this had to be removed. The kitchen was totally unsuitable for home entertaining and actually obstructed most of the lower part of the house.

The bottom right picture shows part of the kitchen that was removed, the walls were unattractive and stopped light form entering the kitchen, they also blocked the natural flow of air thru the house. The original kitchen had been built in the 1950's and was badly in need of a renovation.
